Delete your Gink account

You can delete your account and data at any time, from the app or by email.

In the app

  1. Open Gink and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then Account.
  3. Under Delete account, choose Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out on all devices.

By email

Can't open the app? Write to gink@ginkaisupport.com from the email address of your Gink account, with the subject “Delete my Gink account”. We'll confirm when it's done.

What's deleted

  • Your account (email, name, country, sign-in details)
  • Everything synced: chats, tasks and reminders, memories, and your profile and photo
  • Your usage records

What's kept

  • Payment records, for our accounts, with your email replaced by an anonymous code
  • Your email address and the date, in a list of deleted accounts, so that devices still signed in are signed out

On your devices

Chats and files stored on a device stay there until you remove them. Delete them in Settings, or uninstall Gink from the device.
