Privacy policy

The short version: Gink keeps your account and the things you choose to sync, uses trusted services to answer you, never sells your data, and lets you delete everything from Settings.

Who we are

Gink is an AI assistant app for computers and phones, made by Gink AI (developer: Amgib00). This policy covers the Gink apps, the Gink server they connect to, and this website. Questions: gink@ginkaisupport.com.

What we store, and why

InformationWhy

Your countryTo show prices and payment methods for where you are
Synced data: chats, tasks and reminders, memories, and your profile (name, what Gink calls you, your work, profile photo, instructions)To keep your devices in sync
Usage counts (how many messages, images and voice characters you used today)To apply the daily limits of your plan
Payment records (plan, amount, date, provider reference)To activate Gink Pro and for our accounts

On your device, Gink also keeps your chat history, settings, drafts and the files and images it makes for you.

Services that help Gink answer you

“Hey Gink” and the microphone

“Hey Gink” is off until you switch it on. Listening for the wake word happens entirely on your device; no audio leaves it until Gink hears the wake word. Gink pauses that listening while it speaks, during dictation and during voice conversations.

What we never do

  • We don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
  • We don't put AI service keys inside the app; they stay on our server.
  • We don't read your files. Gink only touches a file when you ask it to (for example, “find my CV”), and it doesn't upload it unless you attach it to a message.

How long we keep it

Your account and synced data stay until you delete them. Usage counts are kept per day. When you delete your account:

  • Your account, synced data and usage records are erased.
  • Payment records are kept for our accounts, with your email replaced by an anonymous code.
  • Your email address and the date are kept in a list of deleted accounts, so that any device still signed in to the account is signed out.

See how to delete your account.

Your choices and rights

  • See and export your data: Settings, then Privacy, then Export.
  • Correct your profile: Settings, then Account.
  • Forget memories: Settings, then Memory.
  • Delete chats, or your whole account, in Settings.
  • Turn off “Hey Gink”, read-aloud and the briefing's “pick up where you left off” at any time.

You can also write to us at gink@ginkaisupport.com to make any of these requests.

Children

Gink is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Connections to our server are encrypted, passwords are never stored in readable form, and access to the server is limited. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a problem, please report it privately.

This website

This website uses no cookies, trackers, analytics or web fonts, and loads nothing from other companies. It's hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may record visitors' IP addresses for security, as described in GitHub's privacy statement.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is important.
